As I sit in this internet cafe, I am SO HAPPY Panama got a silver medal in the Bolivarian Games in Womens Saber Team. I think its awesome and am pondering a forced conversion to sable for Kerima. Its been a great experience here so far and I´m having a lot of fun even though I keep losing earings (I never change!) My spanish is maybe not improving but I can definitely understand fast Panamanian spanish better now and they have been teaching me slang, quizzing me on the pledge of allegiance (which I now know) and himno. It cracks me up, they, especially the coach Moran, have been really sweet and helpful and supportive in everything. I´ve invited them to come train with me in the states for whenever they can in the future cause I can´t think of another way to help out so far, but I will!! Me and Barbara Higgins will cook something up I´m sure. My teammates are awesome and tomorrow again we face Bolivia in foil team HAHAHA
I know this is short but I should probably go up and play a game with the peepz who I should hang out with more now that im not in bed dead from being dehydrated and having a bad case of indigestion.
I love you all and just wanted you to know I´m doing well and this has been a really good experience so far.
Mil besos,
Eileen

I'm glad you're still having a good time -- when I Skyped with you yesterday, I was impressed with what a fun and cohesive group you Panamanian athletes are. Isn't it gratifying to be so supported? I think that sort of thing can only show in the type of games like the Bolivarian. World Cups and NACs are much more individualistic. Anyway, get another medal in foil!
Hi, Sweetheart!
I'm so glad to hear about out of the fun you are having, in addition to enjoying the fencing!
You are the greatest!!!
Love,
Mama
Oops, just reread my previous message. It should have read "all" of the fun you are having, but could probably guess that. OHHH.. bad typing!
