Hey all,
Today I slept in a little, and then went to the Carrefour (supermarket) to buy breakfast/lunches for the next few days. When I got back home I had an e-mail from Lucas Saucedo, the Argentine coach, asking if I wanted to come train with him today at 3. So, since the Singapore girls still were missing their bags, I met up with him and Maria Belen the fencers and went of for a nice training session them, singapore, the americans, the azerbaijanis, and some french fencers from Orleans. We caught the bus there and back, so I had fun chatting with the singapore girls and Lucas. He told me its too bad I'm not Argentine, because they would have a strong team. He also agreed that the move to Panama was a good idea for me, so at least I still have a friend in him! :) Tonight we're planning to meet for dinner around 9, so I just had a snack of bread, hummus, and tomatoes and am planning on meeting them in an hour and a half or so.
Tomorrow there's another practice, but I think I'll do very minimal fencing. Just more to ready myself psychologically. Its funny, right now I'm thinking in spanish again because I've been hanging out with the Argentines... ay dios.
We're definitely in Orleans again because the big Jean d'Arc statue you is still there and we got a huge full spread in teh newspaper. Rumble in Orleans again, I guess.
See you all later,
Eileen

Glad you got set for breakfasts and lunches. I enjoy going into grocery stores in foreign lands - it's interesting (plus there's a lot of security in their grocery stores that we don't have.) Glad you could get together with Lucas. It's nice to have a supporter vis-a-vis fencing for Panama. Tomorrow you should be a tourist part of the day since you don't want to fence much. Better than sitting in the hotel room!
