Hello from Croydon, UK!

Hello all! Writing from the lobby of the Croydon Park Hotel. Eveything here is going well except for the fact that they lost my bag like I feared! I'm supposed to get it tomorrow around noon, but thats when I'll be starting to fence. So, my friend Daria is going to lend me a saber and hopefully I can finagle another one out of some other fencer (possibly, my singapore friend.) Otherwise, I had the frame of mind to pack most of my things in my carry-on bag. I accidentally took a long nap today, because I fell asleep watching the british version of Jerry Springer. There wasn't anything else very exciting on, and obviously even that wasn't exciting enough :)

Hope everything's going great in the states!

Cheerio!

Hi Eileen, Glad you made it safely and glad you have most of your stuff, but you do kind of need a sabre. We're still iced in here in NW Arkansas. It's really getting boring!

Well, I'm glad you're there safely. Hopefully, you'll get your bag soon. I remember Greece when a guy in a truck carrying the suitcase Delta lost followed me around the winding Pelopannesian Peninsula until he caught up with our ship! I've also taken that accidental long nap on Day 1 in Europe. Don't worry, I'm sure the adrenalin will carry you tomorrow!

Make sure you pack your sabers in the purse on the way to France. You will not loose it for sure
