Buenos Dias!

I've made it to Panama intact and am staying with the Purmalises at a BEAUTIFUL house in Albrook, the old army base. I'm probably about 15 miles outside the city but evidently the traffic here is atrocious so itll take at least 30 minutes to get there. That's fine by me since it seems I'll probably be staying around the city anyways during the day today.

Already two people from the fencing commission have called me and they're already organizing practice for me. The other lady who called was from the office, and she wants to meet with me today as soon as I get my cedula so we can order the FIE lisence and run my information by the Olympic committee. My lawyer is planning on calling me as soon as she gets the call from the Registro Civil. Susan's friend Manuel is planning on coming with me to ID me.

In other news, I found out that the problems that Panama was having during the panamerican games are still in action and there is a sanction on the Panamanian olympic comittee right now. Talking with everyone though it seems like it is being resolved, and they will probably lift it by april 10th or so. When I get more news on this I will let you know as it kind of effects me greatly. Don't worry! I'll get to the bottom of it. The good news it that they're coming after me bigtime it seems. the poor purmalis'; I've already gotten about 4 phone calls this morning to their house.

In other other news the Purmalis' dogs are adorable. One's sleeping next to me right now and running in its sleep with its tongue sticking out. aw :)

In other other news, I may be using an extra cell phone the purmalis' have here and buying minutes to use it while I'm in Panama. I'll let you know more about this later.

The weather here is great, probably about 80 something with some humidity. I'm sweating my butt off but I'll take it any day over 35 and rainy.

Love,

Eileen

Sounds wonderful! Wish I was there birding or something! You sure like pooches, regardless or nationality or breed, and they like you.

I hope everything goes well tomorrow! I'm glad you are enjoying where you are staying. So is Manuel your family? Let's see, he is the boyfriend of the daughter of Uncle Bill's best friend in the army? That's family! Or is Aunt Margie one of Uncle Bill's sisters? I can't keep it straight. I'll be thinking of you, as always.

Love,

Mom
